Epilogue
By the following Swedish summer, Michael rules Jericho’s compound and is the leader of both groups. He summons all seven members of Puritas Sanguinis, presents each with a coffin, and has them bound and carried away to die slowly because the council failed to uphold its deal.
Michael is seen looking at a mysterious map searching for something or someone; Luca, a human scitentist reports they are “getting close,” but the target is not identified.
A stranger named Anthony appears in Michael’s office with two sheepdogs. He comes from Lecce, in Italy’s Puglia region, and says Jericho’s debt now belongs to Michael upon finding out from Michael that Jericho will no longer be of service. Anthony effortlessly overpowers Michael and briefly flashes red eyes, but Michael identifies him as neither Everborn nor Night Walker. Anthony leaves him with the cliffhanger: “Did you really think you were the only ones?”
