Confirmed or effectively confirmed deaths include:

• Leo’s foster parents, killed by Leo years before the novel.

• Leo’s first Malmö victim.

• The Night Walker prisoner later identified as Albin, killed on Michael’s order.

• The scientist who activates the laboratory alarm.

• Multiple unnamed humans, Night Walkers, Everborns, guards, and ship personnel across the feeding scenes, docks ambush, compound escape, and final battle.

• Bjorn, killed by Natalie after the docks operation.

• Morison, who dies from his wounds after saving the Natalie.

• Jericho, whose neck Michael breaks before draining him and removing his heart.

The seven Puritas Sanguinis elders are sealed into coffins and carried away. Michael intends slow deaths, but the story ends before their bodies are shown; technically, their deaths are imminent rather than witnessed. Susanne is not dead. Her disappearance during the climax is an escape.
